The C3 Team Supports “Wreaths Across America”
“Its such a poignant moment when you lay a wreath at the headstone of fallen veteran”
On December 14th, the C3 team gathered bright and early on a cold, soggy Saturday, bundled up in coats and gloves, filled coffee cups and headed over to Arlington National Cemetery, where we joined over 38,000 Americans to participate in Wreaths Across America. The annual event is a day of service in which volunteers lay wreaths on thousands of veteran’s graves at Arlington National Cemetery as well as at more than 1,400 additional locations across the country.
This is the second year that C3 has supported Wreaths Across America’s mission to “remember the fallen, honor those that serve and their families, and teach the next generation about the value of freedom.” Our team was joined by their families and friends, and together we supported this great cause which serves as a reminder that so many devoted sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers, placed their lives on the line for our freedoms.
“Its such a poignant moment when you lay a wreath at the headstone of fallen veteran,” commented Bill Wootton, C3’s president. “When you say their name, not only are you remembering an American hero, you take a moment to contemplate their lives and service to our nation.”
Once wreaths had been placed on Arlington National Cemetery’s 400,000 graves, the team enjoyed time together, warm and toasty at brunch. As our team continues to grow, we value these opportunities to get to know new members and their families and to spend time with each other during a busy holiday season. We enjoyed lots of laughs, great food (and possibly a drink or two!) before heading off to prepare for the holidays, or maybe just take a nap.
Despite the weather, it was a great day to remember the fallen, bond as a company, and give back to the community. The C3 team wishes you and yours a holiday season filled with wonderful memories, time with family and friends and of course, fun!
